Roots of Rose Bodywork

About Us

Meet Ashley

Hi everyone! I'm Ashley, owner of Roots of Rose Bodywork. I am so glad you found your way to my website and my practice.

I graduated from Zardus School of Massage in May 2023. I found my way to massage school after working in many different settings, predominantly in the mental health field. I have always had a passion for helping people in any way that I can, but after finding massage I know that this is exactly the way I was meant to fulfill that passion.

My year in massage school was truly a transformative time. I learned the immense importance of self-care and self-love. I learned how to work with my own energy as well as others'. I learned how to inspire healing through different modalities of bodywork, including foot reflexology and Reiki. I completed my foot reflexology program with the SoleWise School of Reflexology in April 2023, and became a certified Usui Reiki practitioner in April 2023 as well. My mission is to share all that I've learned with those who wish to receive it.

The bodywork I do is very individualized. I use what I've learned to feel what your body and mind need, therefore no two sessions are the same. Whether you come in for a therapeutic, deep tissue, or relaxation massage, or a Reiki or foot reflexology session, I make sure every session is relaxing and rejuvenating!

When I'm not with clients I'm spending time with my family, which includes my wonderful, supportive husband, two beautiful boys, a wild puppy, and a super chill gecko. We enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities such as hiking, disc golfing, beach trips, and simply just being in nature. When I do get a minute of alone time though, you can catch me binge-watching Netflix or attempting a new hobby that I'll most likely give up on after the first day. At least I try, right?!

The name Roots of Rose was inspired by my great grandmother, Rose Gove. She has planted deep roots in order for her family to continue to flourish as she has. At 94 years old she will still try to pamper you if she can. Along with doing bodywork that gets to the root of your problems, many of my sessions come with some form of pampering as well.

The rose, for me, also symbolizes the journey toward inner peace. After having met the long stems with thorns, you are rewarded with a beautiful flower with mesmerizing fragrances. Roses act as a metaphor for life: After overcoming difficulty, you will find inner harmony, union, and happiness.

Let me help you overcome life’s difficulties. Whether it be muscle aches and pains, migraines, difficulty sleeping, stress, anxiety, the list goes on.. I’m here to help!

Meet Sarah

Hello, my name is Sarah, and I'm a massage therapist at Roots of Rose Bodywork. I graduated from the Panacea School of Integrative Health in Hallowell, Maine, in 2019. With a strong background in herbal studies, I enjoy creating my own herbal salves and oils, which can beautifully compliment any massage session.

I specialize in neuromuscular therapy, kinesiology, deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage, and holistic energy healing. By combining these techniques, I help clients find relief from pain caused by past injuries, poor posture, or the everyday stresses our bodies endure. I can also incorporate aromatherapy and hot stones to further support your body's natural healing process.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 27-year-old son, who is currently letting us stay with him while we build our new home! We also have two cats to snuggle with in our down time. For fun, I enjoy camping, hiking, and anything that involves being outside in nature. I am also a member of a local historical society, where I do historical reenactments and teach the public how our ancestors used to live in the 1800s and early 1900s.

My goal is to create a nurturing, restorative experience for every client, and I look forward to being a part of your wellness journey.

Meet Brittany

Hello! My name is Brittany, and my journey into wellness began with my own diagnosis of endometriosis, which opened my eyes to the importance of holistic healing and self-care. What started as a personal search for relief has become a calling to help others find balance, relaxation, and deeper connection in their lives.

I am currently completing my massage therapy training at Zardus Holistic Center and will graduate in spring 2026. Along the way, I have become certified in Hand and Foot Reflexology, with a growing passion for energy work, stress reduction, and the mind-body connection.

I combine traditional bodywork with holistic offerings such as aromatherapy and seasonal rituals. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and deeply nurturing space where clients can release stress, restore balance, and connect to a higher frequency of well-being.

My mission is to support whole-person wellness and help others reconnect with their body, spirit, and sense of peace.
